Тема: Jon Cooksey to write script for first ReBoot movie
As if the web comic being launched recently wasn't enough, we have some news about the first ReBoot movie! According to this and other articles, Jon Cooksey will be the writer for the first movie of the ReBoot trilogy. Cooksey has been the writer for such TV series/episodes and movies such as:
The Collector (1 episode, 2006)
Before I Say Goodbye (2003)
The Santa Claus Brothers (2001)
Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge (2001)
Rugrats: Search for Reptar (2000)
Halloweentown (1998) (TV)
Rugrats (2 episodes, 1997)
A Rugrats Vacation (1997) (V) (writer)
The Outer Limits (1 episode, 1996)
Let's hope the trilogy of films will keep the "spirit" of ReBoot even without the original creators and writers behind the scenes. Yes you read that right, so far Rainmaker has made it pretty clear through their actions that the crew that gave us the series we love is part of the past, and to reach the new target audience, they need new writers.
If you've spoken to me(http://rebootrevival.com/?page_id=10), you know my opinions on the matter, but let's hope what we've come to love about the series is kept intact and isn't just ReBoot in name only. Of course I completely understand the need to get more people interested, but I don't understand the need to leave out those who created it.
If you'd like to let Rainmaker know what you think of this, make sure to post comments on ReBoot.com and send them an email (info@rainmaker.com) too.
